Howdo you make your nails whiter?

Whenever I grow my nails, they're not as white and clear as they should be. Are there any home remedies or something I could put on my nails to make em whiter?Howdo you make your nails whiter?
Yes, there are.

Try using denture tablets. Follow the directions on the box for dissolving the tablets, and then soak your nails in the solution for a few minutes. You may need to repeat this a few times.

Also, squeeze the juice from a fresh lemon or two and soak your nails in that for a few minutes. Wash your hands afterward and apply a moisturizing lotion onto your hands and nails because of the slight drying effect lemon juice has.

EIther of these methods will work to help whiten and brighten your nails. If you have staining that has not gone all the way through the nail, but rather is only on the surface, you can use a good quality nail buffer/shiner and gently buff them to remove the stain. When wearing polish, always make sure to use a good quality basecoat, especially with the darker shades of polish.

BTW, clear polish and nail strengtheners will often yellow nails, just as any color can. Many polishes have things like formaldehyde and toulene in them, and this can dry your nails out after repeated long term use, making them weak and brittle. Avoid overuse of polish, and especially polish remover - acetone or not, they both have a drying effect though acetone is worse when it comes to drying out your nails. Limit use of it to twice a month or so. Use it once a week at the very most.Howdo you make your nails whiter?
Discontinue using dark color polishes. Also there is a clear polish by sally hansen which is meant for making nails whiter. Try taking a multi vitamin daily too, just to ensure that you calcium levels are where it should be. Good luck!
You can buy white nail pencils that you run underneath the white bit of your nails that make them look alot whiter - I have one, tis good.

But if you get one make sure you put it on before you go to sleep, it needs time to stick properly %26amp;%26amp; if you do it in the day all the hand washing or whatever will make it come off some.
You can eat or take calcium vitamins. Calcium makes your nails grow naturally stronger and whiter. Good luck.
Um, manicures usually make them look whiter and you look really cool in them.Dark-nail polish spoils the effect of white nails, when you put nail varnish on them to remove the colour, it goes but the little shade is always there. So wear light nail colours. Hmmmmmmmmm........., what else??? Or maybe it's what you do, avoid doing something dirty. Many people already answered this question so you'll probably find the answers in a day.

Hope I helped,

i'm a nail technician and to be honest if your comparing your nails to other peoples that may be your downfall... Not everyones nails are naturally white. A few tips though to get the best out of them are:-

Soak them in a bowl with some nail soak to soften them and ensure all the grime is out from under them

gently buff over them with a 4 way buffer using each side until each nail is clear of imperfections.

finally apply a clear polish to make them shiny if you do this twice a week you will find that it should help.
try the natural nail polish or take some bleach and put it in a container and put your hands in for like about 15 min.. ATLEAST then take your hand out and look at the difference
Okay, the only solution I have is to go to a spa. Don't try to buy some white stuff, because you'll mess them up... but just go to a spa and your prob. is solved!!!
