What is the best way to get a lot of nails out of the grass?

A strong magnet, inserted into a can, or sock. (so you can easily release the grip to dump off the nails)


If the nails are aluminum I'd use a shop vac. What is the best way to get a lot of nails out of the grass?
I don鈥檛 know the name of the piece of equipment but contractors use it to remove nails from construction sites. It has two wheels on both sides of it and a long magnet in between the wheels. The magnet is about 3 inches wide and 2 feet long. I think it鈥檚 called a magnetic nail remover. What is the best way to get a lot of nails out of the grass?
big magnet or metel detector
A big magnet. Wal Mart has one you tie to a rope for about $10.
