How old should a puppy be, before trimming their nails?

Breeders should be trimming the nails before the pups are separated from their mom so you can start as soon as they go to their new homes. How old should a puppy be, before trimming their nails?
Some dogs need a nail trim every month or so; others can go for several months without little or no trimming, usually because they do a lot of walking and running on hard surfaces.

Without trimming, nails can quickly become ingrown or long enough to make walking uncomfortable. Long nails snag easily on carpet, upholstery, and even your clothes. Snags can lead to a tear, an injury that can be bloody as well as painful.

hi i provided a link that answers over 1000 common questions for rasing a puppy

It will answer your question and many more questions to come

it provides tips dos and donts youll be glad you have it

and your puppy will be glad your its owner

Start while the puppy is young.. even if there isnt enough nail to cut.. get the puppy accustomed to having his paws handled and having the clippers used. Hold his paw and pretend to use the clippers on his nails. Use lots of praise.
the younger the better, as long as they actually have enough nail for you to cut. if you do it from an early age, then they will get used to it
Start trimming when their nails are long...

There are no age limits..

But be real careful... trimming their nails can be dangerous if you accidentally cut their meat..
you girls, DONT bath them DONT trim there nails what is wrong with you dogs are not ment to be bathed or have there nails cut they do it them selves only bath them if they roll in poo
